The ceremony Wednesday offered a look ahead at the new student gathering space now being built within the Historic Neighborhood thanks to the generosity of Gail H. LaRose '64 and her daughter, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ trustee Michelle LaRose. 

Barbara Cini L'11 will develop and execute a comprehensive development program that includes major gifts, corporation and foundation relations, donor relations, and alumni engagement.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ President Connie Ledoux Book presented the medallion to two retired faculty members and two steadfast supporters of the university during an event marking the start of a new academic year. The university also recognized four named professorships during the event. 

Members of Parents Council have also developed strong ties to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ through association with the Love School of Business.

The Morris-Miller Endowment for Learning will ensure the new Koenigsberger Learning Center has the most up-to-date assistive learning technology into the future.

As a first-generation college student, Chris Baker G’88 of Burlington, North Carolina, understands the importance of providing scholarships for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students.

Longtime ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ supporters Thomas E. and Lynn B. Chandler along with new Parents Council chairs Paul and Mindee Blanco advance a university initiative to build scholarships and enhance the campus experience for visitors.

The 5,100-seat, 160,000-square-foot facility will provide a premier gathering space for major campus events and serve as the new home for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's basketball and volleyball programs when it opens this year.

Trustee Cindy Citrone P’17 and Rob Citrone P’17 hosted the event, which brought together Orlando’s ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community and included a university update from President Connie Ledoux Book.

Alumni, parents, faculty and staff invested in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ and its students in record numbers during the 2017-18 fiscal year.
