The Leadership Program at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law has been named a 2013 recipient of the American Bar Association’s E. Smythe Gambrell Professionalism Award. 

In a June 24 opinion column in the News & Observer, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Professor Scott Gaylord writes that judicial elections strengthen the legitimacy of the judiciary and that public financing of judicial elections is unnecessary. 

“Constitutional Law: Cases in Context,” coauthored Georgetown Law Center Professor Randy E. Barnett and ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Professor Howard E. Katz was published by Wolters Kluwer in June.

In an article published by the Cleveland State Law Review, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Professor Tom Molony explores whether false or misleading advertisements primarily directed to consumers qualify as securities fraud. 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumnus David Morrow II ’07, L’10 will serve on national committees of the American Bar Association as part of the highly competitive two-year fellowship.

Upon the news of former North Carolina Governor James E. Holshouser’s death, George R. Johnson, Jr., dean and professor of law at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law, reflected on Holshouser’s contributions to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ.

The entrepreneurial business support and cultivation program of the Piedmont Triad Partnership (PTP) will be located in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law’s Center for Professional Development at 101 West Friendly Avenue in downtown Greensboro. 

The Washington University Jurisprudence Review, a law journal of Washington University School of Law, will publish an article examining judicial elections, authored by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law alumnus John Warren L’13, in spring of 2014.
