Volume 4, Issue 2 of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Review includes articles analyzing how the detection, investigation and prosecution of criminal activity has changed since 9/11. 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law professor David Levine is the coauthor of a law scholars letter to the Alaska Oil & Gas Conservation Commission (AOGCC) that supports the Commission’s groundbreaking proposed hydraulic fracturing (fracking) regulations to require corporations to disclose trade secret information, like chemical ingredients, used in fracking activity in Alaska.

A Legal Fellow at the ACLU of Pennsylvania, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law alumnus Jonathan C. Dunsmoor currently oversees the Bailey v. City of Philadelphia project, which entails teaching law school students and attorney volunteers the fundamentals of Fourth Amendment search and seizure as it relates to police stops.

The student body at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law recently elected a new slate of Student Bar Association (SBA) leaders for the 2013-14 academic year. Katie Koone will serve as President.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Professor David Levine presented recently at Chapman University School of Law, Duke University School of Law, Santa Clara University School of Law and the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law students Kelsey Roth, Joe Doren, Janison Dillon and Kristen Seum won the team competition in the race. Alex Hazel L’09 won the women’s category and Andy Rinehart won the men’s category.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law alumni Haynes Dallas L’09, Michael Eldredge L’10 and Ryan Stewart L’09, with guest Brandon Ellisen, won the Business Law Association's third inaugural golf tournament on March 2. 

In March, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Professor Peter Hoffman delivered the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute’s Seventh Annual Lecture at Michigan State University College of Law and coauthored a National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) video catalog on effective depositions. 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Professor Michael Rich presented insights from his current research about the ethics of deploying technologies that can prevent crime at the third annual works-in-progress series for internet law scholarship.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Professor Scott Gaylord has authored amicus briefs for cases in the Sixth, Seventh, and Tenth Circuits of the United States Court of Appeals challenging the requirement under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) that most employers must provide employees with health insurance that covers all Food and Drug Administration approved contraceptive methods and sterilization procedures.
