ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law and Vermont Law School will offer a dual-degree program that enables students to earn two graduate degrees in two-and-a-half years, beginning in the fall of 2015. 

The forum continued a yearlong series of events and activities at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law that have probed national concerns about police misconduct against minorities and the uneven application of law based on race.

North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark D. Martin delivered remarks before competitors at the March 28 competition banquet and presided at the final round of the competition with former NC Supreme Court Chief Justice Rhoda Bryan Billings and NC Court of Appeals Judge John M. Tyson. 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law and MBA students met with top business and law leaders in Singapore and Vietnam through a collaborative international business course.

Judges Rick Elmore, Mark Davis and John M. Tyson heard oral arguments in two cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law, Feb. 3, in the Robert E. Long Courtroom.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law professors Enrique Armijo, David Levine and Michael Rich led a Hot Topics forum at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law on Jan. 21, titled, "Sony, 'The Interview' and Kim Jon Un: What you need to know about the Sony Hack." 

The faculty, students and alumni of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law contribute to the improvement of law and policy through cutting-edge scholarship, significant professional service and outstanding achievement in their areas of practice.

Would you trust a doctor with no practical experience to operate on you unsupervised? For most, the answer is a resounding no. Luckily, nearly all U.S. physicians participate in a full-time residency, working under the supervision of an attending physician, as part of their training to practice medicine. ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ believes that emerging lawyers, like physicians, should engage in full-time, supervised residencies as part of their professional training. 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law’s Elder Law Clinic, led by clinic director Hannah Vaughan, sponsored a series of events in Greensboro this fall featuring Paul Greenwood, a pioneer in the prosecution of elder abuse in America.

One of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's top scholars shared new work this fall into the evolution of Nazi laws that stripped Jews of their possessions during Hitler's reign and of the first genocide trials conducted after World War II.
