ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Concert Band
The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Concert Band is an ensemble that focuses on developing instrumental music fundamentals through standard band literature. This ensemble is open to all students (regardless of major), community members, faculty, and even select high school students in the area.
As a service to the surrounding community, this ensemble prides itself in welcoming all musicians. No auditions are required to join this ensemble.

High school students wishing to participate in this ensemble will need to complete a few items to join the ensemble. Please complete this following form and follow the instructions to join the band.

Who can participate in the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Concert Band?
Any person with previous experience playing a wind or percussion instrument is eligible to participate in the Phoenix Winds. Community members and students are welcome.
High school students will be considered with a director’s letter of recommendation.
Do I have to be a music major to join?
No, all students regardless of major are welcome! The band has members representing a wide variety of majors.
Do I have to audition to join?
No. There is no audition to join.
Will I have time to be in the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Concert Band?
Absolutely! The Concert Band meet only once a week. on Tuesday nights from 7:30-9:30. The low time commitment allows you to continue to play great music, but also have time to participate in marching band or other musical ensembles, as well as take advantage of the other academic, service, and social experiences that ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ offers!

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Concert Band is a traditional wind band that performs a wide variety of music while focusing on traditional and standard repertoire.

There are many reasons to join the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Concert Band including: continuing your musical education and getting to participate in a great ensemble experience, having the opportunity to perform creative programs, performing with spectacular guest artists, working directly with composers, and collaborating on special performances with other artistic genres such as dance and visual art! This is also an ensemble where you can test your skills on secondary instruments. The reasons are endless!
