Charter class achieves 83 percent pass rate on North Carolina Bar Exam

The charter class of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ School of Law achieved an 83 percent pass rate on the North Carolina Bar Exam. The overall pass rate for the 1,136 people who took this year's exam administered by the Board of Law Examiners last July was 73 percent.

Kathy Matera named to A.L. Hook science and mathematics professorship

Kathryn Mansfield Matera, associate professor of chemistry, has been selected as the third recipient of the A.L. Hook Emerging Scholar Professorship in Science and Mathematics at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ. The professorship provides funding and opportunities for faculty to mentor students and involve undergraduates in research and special projects.
