Three ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students won awards this week for their performance in a moot court competition that capped a European program on international human rights attended by students from the United States, Belarus and Lithuania.

The Robert E. Long Courtroom in the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law is called one of the most technologically advanced in North Carolina in an Aug. 22 story in the Triad Business Journal.

Margaret Robison Kantlehner, associate professor of law and director of externships, capstones and preceptors, joined three ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law students for a July 21 presentation at the “Power Girls” Summer Leadership Institute at Bennett College for Women in Greensboro.

The Business Journal in Greensboro reported in its Aug. 15-21 edition on the charter class of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law and how "ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's law school has been welcomed by the legal community."

Incoming students at the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law learned more about their new city, and each other, as they volunteered their time for local charities on Aug. 9 as part of the second annual "ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Reaches Out" program.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ 1L students traveled to the main university campus Aug. 14 for a daylong series of activities related to orientation.

The message was simple: “You complete us.” The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law welcomed its third class Aug. 7 with a day of orientation activities – faculty introductions, book purchases, formal portraits – for a group that brings the school to full capacity.

The Carolina Peacemaker, a Greensboro newspaper and member of the BlackPressUSA Network, profiled ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law Interim Dean George Johnson in an Aug. 6 article. The story by reporter Benjamin Fair details Johnson's distinguished career and his plans for leading the law school.
