Munford is the first ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ women's basketball player to earn the honor.

Taylor Durham '96, "The Voice of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Phoenix," was on the call as the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ men's basketball team took on Drexel for a shot at the CAA title and the first NCAA Tournament bid in program history.

The tough loss to the Drexel Dragons in the conference championship game on Tuesday night capped an impressive run, with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ becoming the first No. 8 seed to play for the conference tournament title.

The Phoenix sophomore made history as the first female ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ runner to qualify for the NCAA Division I Championships.

Together, the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community raised over $3.4 million from 5,609 gifts and unlocked numerous opportunities for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students and the community.

The award recognizes the partnership between the club and ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, which stretches back at least three decades and has expanded and evolved to include volunteerism, academic service-learning courses, internship and practicum placements, research, fundraising and advocacy.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Athletics has extensive measures in place to promote health and safety during the football season, which begins Feb. 20 at home versus Davidson College.

The 1 p.m. tipoff will feature alumnus Taylor Durham ’96 as the broadcast’s play-by-play announcer, with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ junior Tellier Lundquist serving as color commentator.

The Phoenix kicks off its eight-game spring football schedule in a showdown with Davidson College on Feb. 20 at Rhodes Stadium.
