The winners of the 50/50 Film Festival were announced at this week's award reception following a screening of all the films in Yeager Recital Hall.

Senior Randy Gyllenhaal, a broadcast communications major, finished third in the Hearst Foundation Journalism Awards Program news broadcast competition.

Editors at The Pendulum were awarded Region 2 Mark of Excellence Awards by the Society of Professional Journalists for their reporting and photography.

Two students in the School of Communications were selected as ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's first recipients of the Scripps Howard Foundation Award.
