Ross Wade, the assistant director of career services for the School of Communications, had his resume exercise that uses Wordle featured on the Psychology Today "Career Transitions" blog.

The School of Communications is holding its monthly faculty meeting.

Feature stories written by students from the Fall 2008 Reporting for the Public Good course are featured online and in print this week in the Burlington Times-News. The articles, photos and video were gathered by students last fall as part of a news-production partnership with the local daily newspaper.

Editors from The Pendulum, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's student newspaper, were honored with Mark of Excellence awards for their work during the Society of Professional Journalists Region 2 conference in Arlington, Va., March 28.

“One on One Sports,” a sports debate show produced by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Student Television, was named this week as one of three award-winners in the Newscast category of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences College Television Awards.
