Local alumni have a special opportunity to help spread the word about ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s new regional center located in South End.

Twelve students are enrolled in the new ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ in Charlotte Regional Center this fall, participating in the university’s sport management immersive semester and gaining real-world experience with the Atlantic Coast Conference, NASCAR, Fox Sports and other Charlotte-based organizations.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumnus Erik Kendall ’11 and Assistant Professor Max Negin received a regional Emmy Award last year for their work with the Charlotte Hornets – and have already garnered another Emmy nomination this winter.

Alumni, parents and friends in eight regions around the country participated in a series of virtual university updates this spring. Now, a version of the update is available on demand to the entire ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumna was recently named a member of Report for America’s 2021-22 reporting corps, a national service program that places journalists in local newsrooms to report on under-covered issues and communities.

Josh Norris ’11, who correctly predicted half of the first-round landing spots in this year’s NFL Draft, is featured in a May 5 article in USA Today about mock drafts.
