An introduction to the Charlotte Center for the Ƶ community
On Nov. 2, Ƶ Charlotte hosted an open house welcoming alumni, parents, Ƶ staff and faculty, prospective students and community members to see and tour the new space.
Since opening in September, the center has been hosting 12 undergraduate students who are currently taking classes in the center as well as interning at a variety of organizations around the city. Ƶ Charlotte will also be home to the Ƶ Law Flex Program, which is now accepting applications and expects to welcome its first students in fall 2024.
“I am so happy that I was able to attend the open house and meet so many interesting people,” said Zeke Petrou ’26. “From alums to department chairs to student care staff, I was able to make great connections with people and share my experience so far in the Charlotte program.”
The event proved to be exciting for alumni as well, with Daniela Pereyra ’16 highlighting the lasting relationships that Ƶ creates.
“The Ƶ Charlotte space is functional, inviting, and accessible – in true Ƶ fashion! I had a great time at the open house, reconnecting with staff members who impacted my time as an Ƶ student and beyond.”
Ashley Pinney, director of regional centers, and Karen Neff, assistant director for Ƶ Charlotte, played a key role in planning the open house and providing an opportunity for the local community to visit the new center and hear about future plans and programs.
