Steven D. House, dean of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ College, the College of Arts and Sciences, and associate vice president for academic affairs, has been named provost and vice president for academic affairs at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ. His appointment by President Leo M. Lambert comes after a four-month national search.

A new survey of world Internet leaders outlines predictions for the wired world of 2020, including sophisticated mobile online access, voice-recognition, and artificial and virtual reality. The study was conducted by the Imagining the Internet Center in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ's School of Communications and the Pew Internet & American Life Project.
