The challenge was issued Feb. 1 by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumna and trustee Kerrii Brown Anderson ’79, former CEO of Wendy’s International, to increase participation in annual giving among young alumni. During the first week of the challenge, 84 young alums contributed $9,702 in gifts to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ.
Here’s how The IGNITE Challenge works:
Make a gift of $20 or more in February (includes cash, online gifts, new recurring gifts and payments on pledges made after June 1, 2009). Your gift qualifies you for membership in IGNITE, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s giving program for graduates of the past decade.
The payoff:
5-to-1 match by Kerrii Anderson ’79
Make a gift of $20, and Anderson will contribute $100 to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ. Give $100 and Anderson will give $500. Anderson’s matching dollars will support students, faculty and programs.
