Dozens of police officers and emergency medical crews gathered July 17 at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ for a daylong training exercise meant to sharpen law enforcement responses in the event of a campus crisis.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ police and campus safety, in coordination with local law enforcement agencies, will conduct a daylong crisis training exercise on Thursday, July 17, which will affect traffic, activities and parking in certain areas of campus.

Jeffrey Coker, an assistant professor of biology at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, and a team of two additional biology professors have received a $30,000 grant from the American Society of Plant Biologists Education Foundation for their science education outreach program. It is the second grant in as many years for the team.
