This year’s program included an ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ version of “American Idol,” which invited staff members to compete for the title of “ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Idol.” Vocalists auditioned for the competition over the past several weeks, and the five finalists who competed during staff day were Jerry Williams, systems administrator; Beth De Ford, program assistant for psychology, human services and religious studies; Robin Riggins, coordinator of the admissions welcome center; Monica Hadley, custodian; and Marianne Janssen, director of clinical education for the department of physical therapy.
Judges for the competition were Michael Williams, director of campus center operations and conferences; Sarah Thomas, assistant director of admissions; and Fred Melchor, director of technology support.
Following outstanding performances by each of the contestants, Riggins was declared winner of the competition.
