Our Vision & Goal
The Women of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ is an intergenerational network of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumnae, parents, and friends, who come together to create community on campus and across the globe and support the most pressing needs of the university. ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ is committed to creating space for this diverse, dynamic community of women to come together and make impactful change.
The Women of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ initiative was born through a series of focus group conversations. In those conversations, women shared that they want:
- More opportunities to engage with the university
- More volunteer opportunities and clear pathways to leadership
- Donors at all levels to feel valued and appreciated
- Flexibility in how women come together to support ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students.
Dream Statement
We are a diverse network of alumnae, parents, and friends dedicated to providing transformational support for each other and for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students. Together, we will grow an inclusive culture of connection and philanthropy and expand our impact on campus and beyond.
Collective Giving to Make an Impact
Women of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ has always believed that when women come together with shared purpose, extraordinary things happen. From the very beginning, this initiative has been powered by a simple but powerful idea: collective generosity creates opportunities that no single gift could achieve alone. That belief has defined us — and it continues to carry us forward.
Celebrating Phase I: Exceeding Our Goal
In Phase I (2024–2026), Women of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ set its sights on a challenge close to every member’s heart: making internships fully accessible to every ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ student who wants or needs one. The Women of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community answered with remarkable generosity, surpassing our original $2.5 million goal and raising nearly $2.7 million to expand need-based internship support. Because of this collective effort, more students than ever are able to pursue hands-on professional experiences without financial barriers standing in the way.

Looking Ahead: Phase II and the 5 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Experiences
Inspired by what we accomplished together, Women of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ is proud to move into Phase II — and we’re bringing internships with us. Phase II pays tribute to the spirit of our founding goal by keeping internships as a continued area of focus, while expanding our collective impact to encompass all 5 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Experiences: Internships, Study Abroad, Undergraduate Research, Leadership, and Service.
These five experiences are at the heart of what makes an ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ education transformational. They shape students into curious, capable, and compassionate leaders — and Women of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ is committed to ensuring that every student has the chance to access them. Through a collective effort of individual and group gifts, our goal is to raise $3.5 million in support of the 5 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Experiences by June 2029.
Philanthropy in Action:
The minimum gift commitment to establish an endowed internship fund at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ is $50,000. This can be paid over five years and generates approximately $2,250 in annual support. During this initiative, women are encouraged to gather a group of friends and pool their resources to create a collective endowed internship fund. For more information about making an endowed gift, please contact Emily Majmudar at emajmudar@elon.edu.
For donors wanting to support the effort but not at the endowment level, annual gifts can be made to the Women of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ fund. These gifts go directly to supporting ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ interns with current need. To make an annual gift to the Women of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ fund, click the button below.
