ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ was founded in 1889, and its core values have remained constant throughout history: close relationships between faculty and students, a culture that supports constant innovation, and a strong sense of community. Daily events, social gatherings and sidewalk conversations are the hallmarks of this friendly and welcoming academic community.
ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ is a nationally recognized leader in engaged, experiential learning that prepares graduates to be creative, resilient, ambitious and ethical citizens of our global culture. ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ in North Carolina has been ranked number one for study abroad among doctoral universities by the Institute of International Education’s annual Open Doors Report for 18 years, is ranked a top 10 best-run college by the Princeton Reviews and No. 1 for excellence in undergraduate teaching by U.S. News & World Report.
At ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, more than 7,000 students learn through hands-on experiences and close working relationships with faculty and staff whose priorities are teaching and mentoring. The curriculum is grounded in the liberal arts and sciences with emphasis on global experiences and career development. More than 70 undergraduate majors are complemented by professional and graduate programs in law, business, education and health care.
ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s academic divisions include ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ College, the College of Arts and Sciences; the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business; the School of Communications; the Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education; the School of Health Sciences; and the School of Law, located in Greensboro, N.C.
Located in beautifulÌýcentral North Carolina, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ offers six full-time graduate programs: M.S. in Business Analytics, M.S. in Accounting, PA, DPT, M.A. in Higher Education, and Law. Two part-time programs are also offered: M.Ed. and MBA as well as our new Health Care Analytics Graduate Certificate. The School of Law is located in vibrantÌýdowntown Greensboro, which serves as a hub of the judicial system in North Carolina.

Sustainability is an institution-wide effort and a part of theÌýBoldly ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵÌýstrategic plan. ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s success in achieving its sustainability goals largely depends upon every member of the campus community taking an active role.ÌýFrom operations to educational programs, sustainability is integrated throughout campus and campus life. ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s environmental sustainability efforts are guided by theÌýSustainability Master Plan.

TheÌýHealthEUÌýinitiative aims toÌýempower every individualÌýin our community toÌýactively implementÌýand integrate wellness valuesÌýin their daily lives, with their peers and in their greater purpose by providing access toÌýresources, educational tools andÌýsupportÌýthrough the six dimensions of well-being. This willÌýhelp ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ become a nationalÌýmodelÌýforÌýprograms, research and dialogues promotingÌýresilience,Ìýbelonging and all aspects of lifelong personalÌýwellness.
