"ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law in Greensboro: Past, Present, & Future" featured insights from civic, business, and higher education leaders who shared how the law school has played a role in transforming downtown into a robust nexus of learning and living.

Schrage becomes the 18th head men's basketball coach at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ and comes to the university from the Ohio State University. 

The April 11 event will be a moderated discussion about food, sustainability and economic development featuring chef Vivian Howard of the award-winning PBS show, “A Chef’s Life,” and Cynthia Hill, the show’s director.

The April 23 event is headlined by a keynote address from former NBA Commissioner David Stern, followed by two panel discussions addressing the business impact and regulation of legalized sports betting. Tickets are on sale through April 17; ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students, faculty and staff can attend at no cost, but must register in advance.

The seven-year fundraising campaign is the largest in the university’s history, with a central focus on expanding financial support for students.

Schrage comes to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ from Ohio State, where he has served for the last two seasons as an assistant coach under Chris Holtmann. 

Kia Barrett, Alisha Harris, Timisha Henley and Cynthia Hernandez from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law's Class of 2020 will work this summer in top legal placements through the North Carolina Bar Association's Minorities in the Profession 1L Summer Associate Program.

The stand-up comic, who recently garnered attention with the premiere of his Comedy Central special "Giggle Fit," will perform in Alumni Gym at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10. 

An April 1 dinner and ceremony included an address by Paula Stephan, a professor of economics at Georgia Southern University who is a Phi Beta Kappa visiting scholar. 

A professor of economics at Georgia State University and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, Stephan will speak at 5 p.m. in LaRose Digital Theatre in the Koury Business Center through the Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Program.
