Renovation of the facility on ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Historic Campus is now scheduled for 2017-18

Housed in the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Belk Library Archives and Special Collections, the Robert Sigmon Collection contains materials from the 1960s through the mid-2000s compiled by the North Carolina service-learning pioneer. 

Kathleen Parker, a syndicated columnist and popular commentator on news shows, will give the Baird Pulitzer Prize Lecture on Oct. 4.

Katherine Shafer ’15, an international studies major from Port Jefferson, N.Y., will spend 11 months teaching English in Taiwan as part of a federal program that promotes mutual goodwill between people of the United States and people of other nations. 

Jenna Mason ’16, a special education and middle grades education double major from Wilton, CT, will spend a year teaching English in Thailand as part of a federal program that promotes mutual understanding and good will between U.S. citizens and citizens of other nations.

Tickets are now on sale for a talk by Harvard psychologist Daniel Gilbert, the best-selling author of “Stumbling on Happiness” who will speak March 30, 2017, in Alumni Memorial Gymnasium.

Morgan Goldstein ‘16, an elementary education and special education double major from Robbinsville, N.J., will travel to Spain in September as part of a federal program that builds good will between the United States and people of other nations.

Christina Daniels-Freeman ‘16, a strategic communications and international studies double major from Durham, N.C., will spend nine months teaching English in Turkey as part of a federal program that promotes mutual good will between people of the United States and people of other nations.
