In part four of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law’s 2015 summer employment reporting series, students are featured for legal work in London and in international pharmaceutical and information technology sectors.  

Experiences at the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, state and city attorney’s offices and a private business law firm are featured in part three of a two-month series spotlighting the work of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law students this summer.

For the ninth consecutive year, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law’s entering class volunteered across Greensboro as part of orientation week. On Aug. 8, members of the 2015 entering class prepared meals for disabled veterans, supported a nonprofit homeless services organization, developed a clothing pantry for children in need, enhanced a local playground and assisted in construction of affordable housing.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law student Courtney Pine, working with Public Citizen’s Global Access to Medicines Program this summer, coauthored an IP-Watch article that makes the case for laws that foster faster innovation in the development of biologics used to treat medical conditions.

Nine ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law students, accompanied by Professor Antonette Barilla, visited the Belgian and French embassies in Washington D.C. in July, participating by invitation in private question and answer sessions that explored topics of international law and policy with diplomats from both consulates. 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law student Meghan Williford has been recognized by the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys (NCAWA) with their annual award named in honor of retired Chief Justice Sarah Parker of the Supreme Court of North Carolina. 

Chad Archer L’15 is the recipient of the 2015 David Gergen Award for Leadership and Professionalism. 

Members of the Class of 2015 at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law welcomed family members and friends to the law school on May 22 to celebrate achievements of the class on the eve of commencement ceremonies.
