The Guilford County Association of Black Lawyers awarded scholarships this fall to Areion Gamble, Nicole Opata and Charles Sexton for their achievements in law school and "characteristics that indicate their future success as attorneys."

Mia Faith Chamberlain, a Leadership Fellow with a passion "to advocate and defend religious freedom for all," will spend a week this fall in Washington, D.C., to network with professionals involved in protecting religious freedom in the United States.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Review hosts a program on Oct. 27, 2017, that will provide an update on recent case law and advisory opinions in mediation and arbitration.

Students, faculty and staff shared their reactions to learning Monday that Dr. Connie Ledoux Book will serve as ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s ninth president.

Supported by a gift from the Class of May 2017, the networking event in Cemala Commons allowed ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law students to learn more about the types of careers enjoyed by law school alumni.

Several students and the law school’s senior associate dean for admissions took part in programs organized over two days in Greensboro, North Carolina, at N.C. A&T State University and Bennett College.

The Hon. Robert N. Hunter Jr., a Greensboro native highly respected by attorneys across North Carolina for his service to the state, received ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law's 2017 Leadership in the Law Award.

Anthony DeLucia and Charles Draeger from the Class of 2018 took top prize in a contest that challenged students to argue the constitutional implications of criminal charges related to a fictional traffic stop.

Samantha Mungro and Andreas Mosby, who graduate in December, planned a morning program this fall for students in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law’s Class of 2019 who will work with classmates and clients of all backgrounds in the years ahead.
