ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ hosted the First Amendment Free Food Festival March 14 to celebrate the rights outlined in the First Amendment.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s student-run radio station hosted a two-day celebration that included a panel discussion, featuring several former WSOE general managers, and a dinner with a keynote from Tom Mullen ’00, vice president of marketing catalog at Atlantic Records. Additionally, Assistant Professor Gerald Gibson was recognized with an Award of Excellence for his years of mentorship.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ student media organizations collected three Best of Show awards in a contest hosted by the North Carolina College Media Association.

February's Global Neighborhood House Dinner connected students, staff and faculty through sharing stories and experiences of transition, belonging and their ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ experience.

Barnett, associate provost for academic and inclusive excellence at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, was one of eight new directors named to the national organization’s board. 

A lineup of events in February will honor African-American contributions to the campus and the world as ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ celebrates Black History Month.

The comedian will headline the Student Union Board's spring comedy event on Wednesday, April 11. 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ President Leo M. Lambert and President-elect Connie Ledoux Book issued a joint letter to students, faculty, staff, parents and advisory boards and councils on Jan. 5, 2018.
