The concert, which will feature special guest Quinn XCII, will be the first to be held in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's new Schar Center. 

The lecturer in the School of Communications is one of five award recipients recognized with the National Scholastic Press Association’s highest accolade for journalism educators.

The events were postponed due to the arrival of Hurricane Florence in North Carolina. 

Seventeen members of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ News Network stayed on campus last week to cover the impact of Hurricane Florence, regularly updating the campus on the unpredictable nature of the storm and the effects it had on community members.

A series of videos featuring a variety of leaders from around ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's campus with helpful advice on how to stay safe during Hurricane Florence. 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ offers pluralistic prayer services and community meals on campus as part of Rosh Hashanah.

The commemoration will also include viewings of "United 93," a film about the hijacked plane that crashed in rural Pennsylvania during the terrorist attacks, in LaRose Theatre on Sept. 11. 

During his 10-week fellowship this summer, the journalism major and ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ News Network executive director joined 37 student journalists from across the country to explore the growing climate of hate in the United States.

This marks the fourth year of recognition by the Campus Pride organization.
