The 10 outstanding young alumni from the past decade were recognized during an April 20 ceremony on campus.

Twelve ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumni participated in a panel discussion Friday, Oct. 19 to share their thoughts and experiences on networking, internships and campus involvement.

The Communications Alumni Network heard a State of the School address from the dean and an update on the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Mentoring Network at its organizing meeting Oct. 20.

Pittman received an Upper Midwest Region Emmy Award for a story he produced for KSTP-TV in St. Paul, Minn.

The School of Communications grad was honored for a story he produced for WGAL-TV in Lancaster, Penn.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ honored 10 outstanding graduates of the past decade on March 31 at the annual Top 10 Under 10 Awards banquet.

Doug Finberg ’94, executive vice president for marketing at MGM Studios in Los Angeles, became the second Communications alumnus to receive the inaugural-year Distinguished Alumni Award in the School of Communications on April 26.

New York Times projects editor Jo Craven McGinty, a 1985 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ journalism graduate who has been a part of two Pulitzer Prize teams, received the first-ever Distinguished Alumni Award in the School of Communications on April 19.

Communications assistant professor Gerald Gibson was recently named the School’s coordinator of alumni affairs, a new position aimed at reaching out to and reconnecting with alumni.
