The fundraising drive held leading up to the inauguration of Book as ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's ninth president in October 2018 will fund the purchase of 1,000 books for the local school system. 

Halftime during Saturday's football game against the University of Richmond offered an opportunity for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ student-athletes to honor ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's newly inaugurated president and to announced the results of the Honor President Book Drive. 

The official groundbreaking offered an opportunity to recognize the contributions of donors to the 80-room inn adjacent to the Koury Business Center that will open next fall. 

Held Oct. 19 in Whitley Auditorium, “Celebrating ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Past, Present and Future” paired musical performances with a look back at the university’s history.

During a donor appreciation event on the arena's main floor on Friday, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ celebrated the generosity and vision of the nearly 30 families, individuals and businesses whose gifts made the convocation center possible. 

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community gathered Oct. 19 to commemorate and reflect on the inauguration of Connie Ledoux Book as ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s ninth president.

Alumni, representing every decade of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ graduates dating back to the 1930s, participated in the inauguration ceremony held for President Connie Ledoux Book.

The focal point during a celebration lasting through Oct. 20, Thursday's inauguration ceremony in Schar Center drew thousands to mark this significant milestone in the university’s 129-year history.

Visiting alumni and higher education delegates spent Thursday morning exploring the campus and learning about ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s history before celebrating the inauguration of President Connie Ledoux Book.
