Jason Husser, associate professor of political science and policy studies and director of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Poll, offered insight for the story about how North Carolina could play a role in President Donald Trump's re-election efforts.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Poll, in partnership with The News & Observer, Charlotte Observer and The Durham Herald-Sun, conducted a survey of more than 1,400 N.C. voters based upon topics voters identified as the most important this election year.

The panel discussion which comes a week after "Super Tuesday" that will see voters in more than a dozen states, including North Carolina, cast their votes in primary elections will feature prominent journalists and political scientists, including Jason Husser, associate professor of political science and director of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Poll.

During an on-campus panel discussion on Feb. 13, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students recapped their Winter Term class The Trail Starts Here: The Iowa Caucuses, highlighting what it was like to be immersed in the politically charged environment.

The conference held Feb. 7-8 for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students, faculty and staff celebrates black unity and provided an allyship track for non-black participants.

The Jan. 10 article published by the national political media outlet included information reported by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students spending Winter Term covering the Iowa caucuses.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities to recent graduates in more than 140 countries, with approximately 1,900 grants awarded annually in all fields of study.

The course, "US/Mexico Borderlands: Culture, Environment and Immigration," was led by Department of History and Geography faculty members Sandy Marshall and Shayna Mehas.

The university is partnering with the Burlington Times-News and the Alamance County Area Chamber of Commerce to host a forum for candidates in the race for seats on the Alamance County Board of Commissioners.
