March 24, 2023 learners from the accelerated bachelor's in nursing (ABSN), physical therapy (PT), and physician assistant (PA) programs gathered to hear the story of a local caregiver, problem-solve from their professional perspective, and role play essential conversations for caregivers of special needs children.

Andrews, professor of physical therapy education, co-authored a study of patients with Guillain-Barre Syndrome undergoing inpatient rehabilitation.

Christopher, an assistant professor of physical therapy, received the award at the American Physical Therapy Combined Sections Meeting.

The Janet M. Cope Scholarship in Physical Therapy will go toward ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Physical Therapy students who have displayed honorable character during their time in the program.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program and Physician Assistant Studies program welcomed new classes of students following a highly selective admissions process. The three-year, full-time DPT Program enrolled 46 students, and the 24-month, full-time PA Program enrolled 38 students.

The funding will allow the HOPE Clinic to complete approximately 140 additional patient visits in 2023.

The pair are the first legacy father-son students of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
