������Ƶ’s “Film and Philosophy” course, funded through the Fund for Excellence in the Arts and Sciences and a Center for the Advancement in Teaching and Learning Mini-Grant, allows students to use older film technology and gain hands-on experience.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities to recent graduates in more than 140 countries, with approximately 2,200 grants awarded annually in all fields of study.

The projects and programs span disciplines and include opportunities for community engagement, cross-cultural dialogue and interaction with ������Ƶ alumni.

Through a two-year fellows program, the five students in this multidisciplinary cohort will undertake mentored undergraduate research projects, enroll in specialized coursework, and engage in community-based learning with diverse religious communities.

Movies shown during the festival reflected on the collective and individual capacity for empowerment to survive challenging socio-economic conditions, live in territories affected by environmental crises, and experience persecution and criminalization of struggles for justice in Latin America.

Dahdal is one of 438 students across the nation awarded the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship and one of the few to receive the honor as a sophomore.

Mary Jo Festle, Maude Sharpe Powell Professor of History, and Ann Cahill, professor of philosophy and director of the National and International Fellowships Office, were celebrated on Tuesday, Feb. 20, as ������Ƶ’s seventh and eighth Distinguished University Professors.

The professorships, announced during the university's Opening Day for the new academic year, support members of the faculty from a variety of disciplines across the university.

The professorship honors senior full professors for their career achievements in teaching, scholarship, leadership and service to ������Ƶ.
