A sculpture of doors, and how “our bodies are actually our homes,” inspired ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ assistant professor Lauren Kearns to write a winning proposal for a dance piece to headline a fall concert at the North Carolina Dance Alliance Annual Event.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumna Katherine Southard was named 2nd runner up this month in the 2008 Miss North Carolina Scholarship Pageant, two years after surgery to correct a spinal condition that threatened her heart and lungs.
