The third annual #ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵDay celebration raised $955,099 from 3,749 gifts, making it the single greatest day of giving in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s history.

Cynthia “Cindy” Citrone P’17, of Southport, Connecticut, and David “Dave” King, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, were recently elected to the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Board of Trustees.

Members of the worldwide ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community can participate by making a gift to the university and sharing their ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ pride on social media.

Students, faculty and staff celebrated ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ on March 8, 2016, in a special gathering around Fonville Fountain where revelers heard from two young alumni about the value and power of giving back to their alma mater.

Hundreds of accomplished high school students accepted into ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Class of 2020 will visit campus March 4-5, 2016, to interview for scholarships and grants made available through the highly selective Fellows Programs.

The new Richard W. Sankey Hall, to be located just south of Colonnades Dining Hall, will provide classrooms and learning facilities for students in all academic majors. 

Students handed out resumes on Feb. 23 to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ department supervisors who were promoting on-campus job openings that help with personal and career development.

A generous endowment gift from the estate of two ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ grandparents will help make possible life-changing global study experiences as the university seeks to provide 100 percent access to these programs for all students.

In an abundance of caution, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ has postponed or rerouted five Spring Break service programs to Central America and the Caribbean this March to minimize the possibility of students contracting the Zika virus.

The annual celebration is an opportunity for alumni, parents and students to show their pride in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ by making gifts and sharing their support on social media.
