improvement projects during the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of
Service. Congress initiated the nationwide program in 1994.

RecycleMania 2009 contest starts Jan. 18

RecycleMania returns to Ƶ this month for the university’s third year
taking part in a national recycling competition involving hundreds of
college and universities. Leaders hope to surpass the nearly 54 tons of
recyclable materials collected last spring on campus during the contest.
35 Ƶ student-athletes earn fall 2008 academic all-conference honors

Thirty-five Ƶ student-athletes received academic all-conference recognition by the Southern Conference during the fall season. Ƶ ranked #2 among the 12 SoCon schools in the number of athletes earning recognition. To be eligible, a student-athlete must possess at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average entering the fall season and must have competed in at least one-half of their team’s competitions during the recently-concluded fall campaign.
Ƶ student productions now available on Time Warner’s “Carolina On Demand” cable TV service
