This team of two Master of Arts in Higher Education students was judged by a panel of higher education professionals as providing the best rationale and solutions to address a hypothetical, but realistic and challenging situation on a college campus.

The summer enrichment experience for academically gifted students is facilitated by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Master of Education program, with M.Ed. and special licensure candidates crafting curricula to meet a variety of student needs and goals for the graduate-level capstone course. 

Jean Rattigan-Rohr, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's executive director of community partnerships and director of the Center for Access and Success, delivered the Commencement address. 

The FLEX Program is offered by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Master’s of Education program, with M.Ed. and special licensure candidates creating the curriculum and working with academically gifted students. 

A new cohort of students begins the Master of Education program this summer, representing 11 North Carolina school districts, two out-of-state districts and five other countries.

Twenty-five candidates in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Master of Education program received degrees Saturday in a ceremony highlighted by a Commencement address that challenged teachers to unshackle their students' minds and inspire them to pursue their dreams.

In Saturday remarks to graduates from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Master of Education program, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ President Emeritus J. Fred Young, who founded with his family a company that brings international teachers to the United States, proposed changes to the way Americans view learning and student outcomes.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Master of Education graduation ceremonies will be held in Whitley Auditorium.
