A delegation from the State Department visited ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ to learn about service-learning in a presentation from the Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement and had a chance to serve with students on Loy Farm.

This guided tour includes visits to the solar farm, responsible design studio and agricultural farm.

The annual report offers a look at the various ways that ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students participate in service work each year and their opinions about service. 

Twenty-four new ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students spent the week at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ and in the Alamance County community serving nonprofits and learning about the area. 

Assistant Professor of Biology Jen Hamel headed a program focused on insects using the resources ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Loy Farm offers. 

The university has been named repeatedly to the list by the environmental organization, which looks at sustainability practices, carbon footprints and recycling efforts.

More than 100 Glen Raven Inc. customers from across the country and Mexico visited the Environmental Center at Loy Farm for a May 12 banquet as part of a summit that highlights innovation. 

Senior Dustin Pfaehler’s legacy at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ is the research he’s conducted on a hand-built tiny house found at Loy Farm, where faculty and administrators hope to launch a living-learning community.
