Members of ������Ƶ Law's Class of 2009 celebrated homecoming on October 23. Many graduates participated in a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) course about legal leadership during times of complexity and change, and over forty graduates met for a social hour in downtown Greensboro.

On October 14, ������Ƶ law students and other young professionals participated in the first forum of a Local Government Educational Series about the roles and responsibilities of Greensboro’s city government, sponsored by ������Ƶ Law and synerG, the young professionals initiative of Action Greensboro.

������Ƶ School of Law has opened a Clinical Law Center to support legal services provided by law school students. The center will provide a facility for students, under the supervision of law faculty and attorneys, to work with clients referred by nonprofit organizations and government agencies in the greater-Greensboro region.

Fall break for ������Ƶ Law begins Saturday, October 17, 2009, through Tuesday, October 20, 2009.

A number of ������Ƶ Law graduates have expressed appreciation for "Project Pass," a unique program of ������Ƶ designed to support law students as they prepared for the bar exam this summer.

Members of the faculty at ������Ƶ School of Law said they were proud to be part of a university that will soon shelter a chapter of The Phi Beta Kappa Society, the nation's oldest and most prestigious academic society. The Society voted on Oct. 2 to establish a new chapter at ������Ƶ.

As part of ������Ƶ Homecoming 2009, ������Ƶ Law will offer a 1.75-hour Continuing Legal Education (CLE) course for law school alumni and all ������Ƶ alumni attorneys who are licensed in the state of North Carolina on Friday, October 23 from 2 to 4:00 p.m.

On October 8, ������Ƶ President Leo M. Lambert led a portrait unveiling ceremony to honor F. Leary Davis, founding dean of ������Ƶ School of Law.

������Ƶ Law Distinguished Practitioner in Residence John Englar recently completed over three years of service on the Board of Directors of Delphi Corporation, overseeing the largest industrial company reorganization in U.S. history prior to the General Motors reorganization in 2009.
