ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law has established the Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic, allowing students under the supervision of law faculty to provide free legal services to low-income refugees and asylum seekers in North Carolina.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law professors Steve Friedland and David Levine delivered presentations on trade secrecy and privacy in the digital age at a January 20 program of The Cardozo Society of the Greensboro Jewish Federation.

Elaine R. Jones, who served as the first woman president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund from 1993 to 2004 and championed a number of groundbreaking civil rights cases over a career spanning three decades, will deliver the keynote address at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law's third annual Martin Luther King, Jr. forum on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the law library.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ professors, students and alumni made regional and national news in recent weeks through their research and activities, both on and off campus. Notable in December and early January was media coverage of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law's Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic and the announcement by university leaders of a decision to locate the new physician assistant program on main campus.
