Distinguished Jurist in Residence and ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law advisory board member Jim Exum was featured in the Sunday, March 20, edition of the Charlotte Observer for his work to improve North Carolina's system for selecting judges.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law alumni Ryan Stewart and Michael Eldredge, with guest Brandon Ellisen, won the Business Law Association's inaugural golf tournament on April 9. The event brought together 25 law students, alumni, and friends at Country Hills Golf Course in Gibsonville, North Carolina.

Volume 2, Issue 1 of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Review explores "Emerging Frameworks for International Business Transactions." Issue 2 explores issues in contract interpretation, the foreign intelligence exception to the Fourth Amendment's warrant requirement, property rights, and judicial discretion in the application of domestic violence protective orders.

The Black Law Students Association (BLSA) at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law held its annual reception for third-year law students on April 16. The reception allows BLSA members to show appreciation for the graduating students who have contributed to the growth of the organization and to congratulate them on their journey through law school.

Alumni Mark Jetton '06 L'09 and Eric Meredith L'09 were profiled in the April 15 issue of the Charlotte Business Journal. The article focused on how the two established their own law firm, Jetton & Meredith, PLLC, in September 2009 immediately after graduating as part of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law's inaugural class.
