Several students and the law school’s senior associate dean for admissions took part in programs organized over two days in Greensboro, North Carolina, at N.C. A&T State University and Bennett College.

The Hon. Robert N. Hunter Jr., a Greensboro native highly respected by attorneys across North Carolina for his service to the state, received ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law's 2017 Leadership in the Law Award.

Anthony DeLucia and Charles Draeger from the Class of 2018 took top prize in a contest that challenged students to argue the constitutional implications of criminal charges related to a fictional traffic stop.

Samantha Mungro and Andreas Mosby, who graduate in December, planned a morning program this fall for students in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law’s Class of 2019 who will work with classmates and clients of all backgrounds in the years ahead.

"The Double Life of Law Schools" by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Professor Steve Friedland and Ian Holloway of the University of Calgary will appear in a forthcoming issue of the Case Western Reserve Law Review.

“Third Generation Discrimination: The Ripple Effects of Gender Discrimination in the Workplace” by Professor Catherine Ross Dunham will appear in a forthcoming issue of the Akron Law Review.

Daniel McCain in the Class of 2018 is the latest to be featured in a series of profiles on ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law students whose summer internships offer new insights and knowledge into the legal profession.

The endowed professorship is funded by the estate of the late Isabella Cannon ’24, a former mayor of Raleigh, N.C.

Drew Simshaw, a Legal Method & Communication Fellow, received the H. Latham Breunig Humanitarian Award this summer from TDI at the organization's biennial conference.
