The ������Ƶ Law Flex Program in Charlotte enrolled its second cohort of 47 students during New Student Convocation on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at ������Ƶ’s Charlotte center. The Flex Program is a part-time, in-person, evening program for place-bound students in the Charlotte area.

Former Greensboro mayor and Bryan Foundation president and CEO Jim Melvin was an early visionary supporter of the School of Law, establishing the downtown Greensboro campus in support of “a law school with a difference.” He died Aug. 10, 2025, at the age of 91.

������Ƶ Law alumnus Jonathan Perry, Western Region manager for Legal Aid of North Carolina and managing attorney at Legal Aid’s Foothills Office in Morganton, received the North Carolina Bar Association’s Greenblatt Outstanding Lawyer Award at its annual meeting June 25-28.
