������Ƶ faculty, staff and students with ties to South Africa reflect on the passing of Nelson Mandela, a global leader whose humility and selflessness helped his nation heal from the ravages of apartheid.

Madison Ann “Maddy” Clough, an international studies major with an interest in working as an Arabic speaker for the United States government, is the first ������Ƶ student to receive a William Jefferson Clinton Scholarship to study at the American University in Dubai.

Six ������Ƶ students have received a total of $31,000 from the U.S. Department of State to study abroad in the spring.

Assistant Dean of Global Study and Director of Study Abroad Kevin Morrison's session on supporting LGBTQ students in study abroad presented at the NAFSA regional conference has been nominated as one of the best sessions at the conference.

������Ƶ sent 1,094 students abroad in the 2011-12 academic year, earning a #1 ranking among the nation's master's-level universities by the Institute of International Education.

After winning a contest sponsored by the university's French Club, four students had their homemade desserts showcased in a campus dining hall.

A representative from the Foundation for International Education will be on campus, Thursday, Nov.14 to speak with interested students at noon in Duke 203.

From now until March 15, there is rolling admission (until full) for all Study USA summer programs. Some programs are nearing capacity so students are encouraged to apply now if interested.
