Five ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students recently received a warm welcome in Italy as they became the first cohort to participate in the university’s new experiential learning partnership with Lumos Pistoia Basket 2000, a professional basketball club in Tuscany.

Since graduating from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, the journalism major has quickly built a career creating content for the University of Pittsburgh’s football and basketball programs.

The sport management major is spending her summer behind the scenes at Boston's No. 1 sports radio station, helping produce the very show she spent years listening to as a devoted fan.

A student-produced video chronicling the dance team’s journey to nationals received one of collegiate sports media’s top honors. The recognition came weeks after the team captured Division I national championships in both pom and hip hop.

After graduation, Selikoff hopes to build a career in sports media, communications or event operations. Whatever path she ultimately takes, she leaves ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ with the kind of hands-on experience many young professionals spend years trying to find.

The cinema and television arts major served as a technical director for a St. Louis Blues broadcast, helping execute a live NHL broadcast in a fast-paced control room.

The 2026 Sport Management Symposium convened media executives, conference leaders and content creators to discuss how streaming platforms, advertising models and shifting audience habits are transforming sports media.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumnus has been named coordinating producer for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Sports Vision, where he will oversee student crews and strengthen mentorship and professional development within the program.

Hosted by the Department of Sport Management, the annual Sport Management Symposium – held in Turner Theatre – will bring together students and industry leaders for an in-depth look at how broadcast, streaming and technology are reshaping live sports.

Through panels, research spotlights and interactive conversations, the Nov. 14 event examined the momentum driving change across today’s sport landscape.
