Friends, Fans and the Whole ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Community

On Tuesday, March 2, the global ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community can participate in a daylong celebration by sharing their ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ spirit on social media and making a gift to the area of campus that means the most to them.

As in years past, donors will be able to make gifts toward specific areas of campus that mean the most to them. These areas include student scholarships, affinity networks (ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Black Alumni Network, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Jewish Alumni Network, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Latinx/Hispanic Alumni Network and the LGBTQIA Alumni Network), academic schools and departments, and the Phoenix Club (ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Athletics). For those wanting to make a difference in the Alamance County community, consider making a gift to the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Academy, part of the Center for Access and Success. All ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Day gifts will also count toward the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ LEADS Campaign.

Enjoy special refreshments in honor of Mardi Gras, which is also March 5. The event will feature a short program with special remarks at 9:55 a.m. Those who can’t attend can watch the remarks via live stream. 

Seniors, faculty and staff will be able to make ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Day donations at the event. Student Alumni Ambassadors will also be onsite to take ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Day photos. Be sure to wear your maroon and use #ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵDay on social media!

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Student Alumni Ambassadors will be operating two maroon and gold “Prize Cab” golf carts taking students from College Coffee to their classes and giving them the opportunity to win prizes by answering questions along the way.

The Senior Class Giving Committee and Faculty and Staff Giving Committee will also host tables where donations can be made.

As the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ baseball team takes on Liberty at 4 p.m. in Latham Park on #ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵDay, Student Activities and the Department of Athletics are hosting a student tailgate on Bank of America Drive from 3-5 p.m. This is a great opportunity for all ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students to come together, celebrate ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Athletics and #ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵDay! The tailgate will include:

• DJ
• Inflatables
• Corn hole boards
