Dr. Veronica Marciano will serve as program director and Dr. Timothy Lietz as medical director for a new physician assistant studies graduate program planned for launch in 2027 at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s national campus in North Carolina’s largest city.

Nine students volunteered at local non-profits in Charlotte, North Carolina Jan. 13-17.

Led by faculty members David Bockino, Colin Donohue and Staci Saltz, 45 first-year Communications Fellows traveled to Charlotte in November, visiting WSOC-TV, Pillar4 Media and NASCAR’s headquarters, and connecting with alumni working in the Queen City.

Six students were awarded funds for the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Queen City Internship Grant.

As part of their Event and Venue Management class, and in collaboration with the Charlotte Knights and the Matthews Help Center, students organized a youth sports gear drive during the Light the Knights festival at Truist Field.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ was recently featured in a report by Business North Carolina, highlighting the university's expansion into Charlotte.

Attendees discussed navigating elections, activism and finding community in a polarized political context.

Over 65 students attended a meet and greet to learn more about programs to live, intern, study, meet alumni and engage in enrichment activities in Charlotte, Los Angeles and New York City.
