The 2026 award bestowed by She Built This City reflects Book’s leadership in higher education and a commitment to support for working families.

Nearly 80 faculty and staff met face-to-face at ������Ƶ to shape academic, cultural and operational plans for a merger that will enhance the student experience on both campuses and expand educational offerings in the Charlotte region.

������Ƶ’s Charlotte campus hosted a College Coffee for prospective students and clinical supervisors highlighting the integration of mental and physical healthcare.

The ������Ƶ alumnus has been named coordinating producer for ������Ƶ Sports Vision, where he will oversee student crews and strengthen mentorship and professional development within the program.

Composed of faculty, staff and administrators at both institutions, the committee will envision the future of a merged institution and provide opportunities for members of campus communities to share ideas for enhancing future student experiences. 

The team will be co-chaired by Jeff Stein, ������Ƶ’s newly appointed chief integration officer and executive vice president, and Pamela Davies, president emerita and senior strategy and integration executive at Queens.

Students in the third fall cohort of the Study USA Charlotte program had a dynamic and eye-opening semester in the Queen City

������Ƶ and Queens University of Charlotte have signed a formal agreement to merge. Now the institutions will begin seeking all required regulatory approvals to complete the merger, a process that can take several years to finalize.

President Connie Book of ������Ƶ and Acting President Jesse Cureton of Queens University of Charlotte hosted lunch for residents of the city’s Myers Park neighborhood, followed later with Book leading a town hall for ������Ƶ alumni who call Charlotte their home.
