Longtime ������Ƶ supporters Bob and Barbara Byrd are including ������Ƶ in their estate plans to support the Department of Music, ������Ƶ Academy and the “It Takes a Village” Project.

Twenty-two freshmen from Alamance County high schools have been selected to join the 14th class of the college access and success program.

Amy and Rob Heinrich P’22 of Grayslake, Illinois, create life-changing opportunities for ‘tough and tenacious’ students in the Odyssey Program. Their gift is counted toward the ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign.

Students in the ������Ƶ Academy, the university's college access and success program for academically promising high school students, spent Tuesday afternoon learning about career opportunities from local professionals. 

The June 17 gathering provided the opportunity for ������Ƶ faculty and staff to talk with members of the newest cohort, the Xi Class, as well as other ������Ƶ Academy scholars who will be on campus through mid-July. 

Friends, family and supporters gathered with members of ������Ƶ Academy's Lambda Class to applaud their achievements and cheer them on as they prepare to start college this fall. 

������Ƶ Academy staff hosts first ever Tri-Area College Access Summit; a gathering of college access professionals from neighboring cities.

 

������Ƶ President Connie Ledoux Book presented the medallion to two retired faculty members and two steadfast supporters of the university during an event marking the start of a new academic year. The university also recognized four named professorships during the event. 

Monday's gathering on Scott Plaza in front of the Alamance Building offered an opportunity to welcome new and returning members of the ������Ƶ Academy, the university's college access and success program for local high school students.

Friends, family and supporters gathered with members of ������Ƶ Academy's Kappa Class to cheer them on as they prepare to attend colleges and universities around the state this fall.
