A generous scholarship gift from alumna and Univision News Anchor Maity Interiano ’07 will assist students in ������Ƶ’s School of Communications. Her gift is part of the ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign.

������Ƶ’s commitment to providing premier facilities for physics, engineering and other STEM fields continues to inspire alumnus Furman '56 and Susan Moseley whose latest gift to the ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign also provides additional Susan Scholarships in the Odyssey Program.

In her new role, Maity Interiano ’07 will lead the weekend evening edition of the network’s national newscast, “Noticiero Univision.” Interiano serves as one of the alumni co-chairs of the $250 million ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign.

The long-time, generous ������Ƶ parent passed away Saturday, Dec. 11, at the age of 88.

To honor their late son Joey, ������Ƶ parents Mike and Karen Brocato P’16 have endowed a Teaching Fellows scholarship to support students studying special education. Their gift to the ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign will also create a second Teaching Fellows scholarship for students pursuing teaching in a STEM field.

The generous estate gift from The Rev. Joyce Myers-Brown ’59 of Atlanta will deepen funding for a scholarship she established in 2011 to increase access to global study. The gift is part of A Will to Lead, a special initiative of the ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign to encourage donors to include the university in their estate plans.

President Connie Ledoux Book announced alumni Priscilla Awkard ’95, Christian Wiggins ’03, Maity Interiano ’07 and Jack McMackin ’08 as the new co-chairs of the ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign, sending a powerful message about the importance of alumni leading ������Ƶ’s future.

The generous gift from Christian Wiggins ’03 will provide scholarships for students from his hometown of western North Carolina as part of A Will to Lead, a special initiative of the ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign to inspire donors to include ������Ƶ in their estate plans.

As the first Doherty Odyssey Scholar to graduate from ������Ƶ, Jubitza Figueroa ’21 is ready to make her mark on the world. Ed and Joan Doherty P’07 endowed eight Odyssey Program scholarships as part of the ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign to make an ������Ƶ education possible for top students with high financial need.

������Ƶ Trustee Jay Hendrickson ’71 and his wife, Amy Hendrickson ’69, support A Will to Lead, a special initiative of the ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign to inspire donors to establish a lasting legacy by placing the university in their estate plans.
