Ƶ Academy celebrates scholar success

Twenty-two high school students who make up the Ƶ Academy Beta Class were honored May 4 in an afternoon ceremony that featured remarks from Ƶ President Leo M. Lambert, reflections from the scholars themselves, and a rendition of “Grateful” by one graduating senior who will study music at Ƶ beginning this fall.

Darris Means ’05 receives award for commitment to diversity

Darris Means '05, associate director of the Ƶ Academy, received the Bobby E. Leach Award from the Southern Association for College Student Affairs, an honor that recognizes a student affairs or higher education professional who has significantly contributed to the development of multicultural relations on a college or university campus.

Panel on Religious Stereotypes in the Media: “The Real Religulous” – Nov. 14

Better Together, Ƶ's interfaith student group, will host a panel Monday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in LaRose Digital Theatre called “The Real Religulous.” The panel will focus on media representations & stereotypes of Christian Evangelicalism, Islam, and Secular Humanism. Better Together Adviser Anthony Hatcher will be the moderator.
