As she applies to serve with the Peace Corps in Peru, Lily Merritt, who finishes her degree program this month, is the first student to complete the requirements of a new track focused on global health in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Peace Corps Prep Program.

Students in an ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Core Curriculum capstone course focused on social justice and diversity heard Dec. 1 from business and nonprofit executives who offered advice for starting careers in a global economy where cultural understanding is more important than ever.

Five students and one staff member from the School of Communications provided video and social media coverage for the annual forum that brings together world leaders to discuss topics relating to food, health and prosperity. Two other ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students attended the conference as fellows.

In its annual ranking, the Institute of International Education recognizes ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ for sending more students abroad than any other master’s-level university in the United States.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Black Alumni Network honored five members of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community during its annual celebration Oct. 17 as part of Homecoming weekend.
