Three ������Ƶ students in an environmental communications course have had a class video project named a finalist for a PBS television special in April, and if their work receives the top number of votes in an online contest, the network may show the project this spring to a national audience.

Janna Anderson, associate professor in the School of Communications and director of ������Ƶ's Imagining the Internet Center, was one of 18 featured speakers at the Danish Top Executive Summit, sponsored by the Danish Management Society Jan. 24 and 25 in Copenhagen. Her talk was titled, Imagining the Internet 2020.

Paul Parsons, professor and dean of the School of Communications, has conducted program reviews at three Middle Eastern universities in the past three years.

Lee Bush, associate professor in the School of Communications, published an op-ed column on civil discourse in the Jan. 16 issue of the Greensboro News & Record.

Josh Norris' passion for sports was why it didn't take the ������Ƶ senior long to visit Career Services last spring when he learned of a unique opportunity. With help from office staff, Norris polished his cover letter and resume, and just days later the senior communications major had landed a summer internship with the NFL's St. Louis Rams.

Ross Wade, the assistant director of career services for the School of Communications, was interviewed by the National Association of Colleges and Employers regarding his "Six-Word Professional Statement" exercise for an article in the NACE's "Spotlight Online" newsletter.
