Lauren Jones L’23 was invited to help lead an online program hosted by the American Bar Association intended for prospective and current law students of diverse backgrounds to hear from successful lawyers about their journey to the profession.

Students filled the law library on September 8 for an annual event that, in the words on one Student Bar Association leader, showcases “everything ������Ƶ Law has to offer.”

Krista Contino Saumby and Alicia Mills have joined the Office of Career & Student Development to assist law students with career guidance and mentoring, resume and cover letter reviews, and mock interviews.

Stacie Dooley will oversee a team of five staff members in the Office of Career & Student Development after serving for seven years as ������Ƶ Law’s director of student life.

Theresa Brunner L’22 was one of only four law school students from across the United States selected for a summer program with The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program, which represents clients before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Zechariah Etheridge, Andrew Tawiah and Kelsie Wiltse from ������Ƶ Law's Class of 2021 will work this summer in top legal placements through the North Carolina Bar Association's Minorities in the Profession 1L Summer Associate Program.

Students can pick up these classes during the Drop/Add Period until Friday, Feb. 7 at 11:59 PM.

Second- and third-year ������Ƶ Law students completed internships over the summer months with judges, law firms, nonprofits and government agencies around the United States.

������Ƶ Law helped support a Greensboro Bar Association springtime swearing-in ceremony for newly licensed attorneys, most of whom were December graduates of the law school’s 2.5-year program centered on learning by doing.

������Ƶ Law students are helping to address important and complex legal questions this summer in placements with law firms, judges, government agencies, corporations, and nonprofits around the United States.
